About Me
My name is Selina, and I’m a Vietnamese artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. Art has been my sanctuary for as long as I can remember—a way to express myself when words couldn’t.
I began painting as a child, first exploring watercolors at six, and later discovering the richness of oil painting around the age of ten. Growing up in Vietnam, I was inspired by the vibrant beauty of my homeland, but art became more than just a reflection of my surroundings—it became a reflection of my heart.
My journey hasn’t always been easy. Growing up with challenges that shaped me in both painful and profound ways, I’ve often turned to painting to process emotions and find peace. Each brushstroke is a part of me—an attempt to transform feelings of struggle, hope, and healing into something meaningful.
These days, I work primarily in oil, capturing the beauty of wildlife and nature. I also find immense joy in painting portraits of pets and people, preserving their unique essence and stories through my art. Whether it’s the soulful eyes of a beloved pet or the emotions etched into a human expression, I aim to bring life and connection to every piece.
Through my art, I hope to share not just what I see but what I feel—a connection to the world that’s raw, honest, and deeply personal. I hope my colorful journey inspires you, reminding us all of the resilience and beauty that can emerge from life’s challenges.
